Description
HIMALAYAN ADVENTURE : THE PATH LESS TRODDEN. LAHUL/SPITI, KINNAUR AND THE MIGHTY KUNZUM PASS
The route we have chosen for you is a beautiful mix of the high altitude valleys and lakes in the Himalayas. Our tour will start in Chandigarh and wind our way to Shimla the winter capital of India. From there we enter the beautiful Kinnaur District and Sangla Valley set amidst apple orchards and misty mountaintops. Our journey into the remote yet beautiful Spiti Valley will leave its mark on all of us as we traverse the dust trails along the Spiti River into remote Kaza. Our stay in The Spiti Valley offers us a chance to explore the Himalayas, century old monasteries, a chance to spot some rare wildlife (if we are lucky) and enjoy the warmth of Kaza, a village that is accessible only 4 months in a year. From there we make our way into Leh over 5 of the worlds highest passes. From Leh We take you to top of the world’s highest motorable road of Khardung-la top at 18380 feet and our overnight stay at Pangong-Tso lake at 14,500 feet will make for some great photo ops and an experience to remember. We believe that this is a route that is a once in a lifetime experience of traversing the Himalayas through unchartered roads and unseen culture. We hope that it leaves not just a lasting impression on you but ensures that you come back to experience the Zen of the Himalayas.
